We are in the process of transferring your mortgage to your servicer, and wanted to make sure you are prepared on how to make your payments moving forward:

First Payment

Your loan servicer will be mailing you a package with all the details for making your first payment and instructions on how you can set up autopay. If you do not receive this information before your first payment is due, do not worry, you will also be receiving a courtesy call 5 days before your payment due date to make sure you have what you need.

Tax Exemption

In Idaho you are eligible for a property tax reduction if you own and occupy the home as your primary residence. In order to receive this benefit, you will need to file a Homeowners Exemption Form, which you can do online here:

For ADA County: https://adacounty.id.gov/assessor/administration/homeowners-exemption/ 
For CANYON County: https://www.canyonco.org/elected-officials/assessor/exemptions/

This must be completed as soon as possible and only needs to be filed one time for as long as you own the home – but it’s best to take care of it sooner so you don’t forget :)

Please note – Idaho is a Non-Disclosure state so we do not recommend putting the purchase price on the online form, you can just enter “$00.00” to override that. If you tell the county what you paid for the home, your taxes will likely go up!
